Biographical Data

I was born in Backnang, Germany, in 1960.

After school, I studied physics in Heidelberg, but soon realized that I wasn't enjoying it as much as I had expected.

So I switched and studied languages instead, and worked at a translation agency for many years.

I married in 1986. My husband is a physicist.

In 1991, our daughter Natalie was born.

My family and I live in a village near Backnang (which is near Stuttgart, in case you want to look it up). I love the idyllic, peaceful surroundings.

We've got a cat with impeccable table manners.

I've got plenty of hobbies, more than I've actually to time for: I like to learn a new language now and then, currently it's Greek. I practice Tai Chi and Chi Gong. I paint flowers and cats, mostly with acrylic colours. I play the piano and the guitar.
