I have been writing and publishing mysteries since 1999

People often ask me why I started my writing career with English mysteries. After all, I'm German. I love the English language, and I've always been a great fan of English mystery authors, Dorothy L. Sayers, Martha Grimes, Elizabeth George - to name just a few.

In 2001, I translated "The Rhythm of Revenge" into German. After that, I began to write in German, as well.

So far, I've published about 40 books in many genres, plus numerous short stories.

Writing, which began as a hobby, has turned into a full-time job. I enjoy being able to make a living on what I love to do most.

Being a writer is a lot more than coming up with ideas, sitting down and typing. I spend a lot of time doing research, which I love. I meet other writers on conferences. And I do plenty of readings, mainly for kids, most of my German books being children's books. It never gets boring, that's for sure.
